Teams Lite is the simplest way to fundraise together on Tiltify. It’s designed for quick, low-setup collaboration.  Teams Lite is perfect for one-off events, small groups, or communities that want to rally around a shared effort without the added management features of a Managed Team.

With Teams Lite, one fundraiser creates the main campaign, and others can create their own fundraising campaigns that join and contribute to that same effort. Each fundraiser, including the Team Captain, keeps their own campaign page and goal, while the group stays connected under one shared banner.

When to use Teams Lite

Teams Lite is a great fit when you want:

  • A fast way to collaborate with minimal setup

  • A short-term group effort (stream event, school drive, community challenge, etc.)

  • A shared “home base” campaign others can join

  • Everyone fundraising independently while contributing to one collective effort

If you need structured leadership, multiple managers, private/public team settings, or shared team tools, use a Managed Team instead.

How Teams Lite works

Teams Lite includes two parts:

  1. The main Teams Lite campaign
This is the shared campaign that acts as the home base for the group. The creator of the Team Lite campaign is the Team Captain.
  2. Campaigns that join the shared effort
Other fundraisers create their own campaigns and select the Teams Lite campaign to join. They still control their own page, goal, and messaging while being connected to the main effort.

Note: Team Lite Campaigns still count toward the Team Captain's lifetime fundraising on Tiltify.

Create a Teams Lite campaign

  1. Start creating a fundraising campaign.

  2. When asked whether you want others to be able to join your effort, select Yes.

  3. Finish creating your campaign.

Once created, other fundraisers will be able to select your campaign as the shared effort they want to join.

Join a Teams Lite campaign

  1. Start creating a fundraising campaign.

  2. When asked “Do you want to support another fundraiser or a team campaign?”, select Yes.

  3. Choose the Teams Lite campaign you want to join.

  4. Finish creating your campaign.

Your campaign is now connected to the shared effort, while still being your own standalone fundraiser.

Important note

If you choose to join another fundraiser or team campaign during campaign creation, you won’t be offered the option to set your campaign up as a shared effort for others to join. That’s expected, your campaign is joining an existing effort.

Tips for a successful Teams Lite effort

  • Share clear “how to join” instructions with your community.

  • Give fundraisers a starter kit: images, talking points, and the campaign link.

  • Celebrate milestones and shout out fundraisers who hit goals.

  • Post regular updates so momentum stays visible.

Summary

Teams Lite is a lightweight way to fundraise together on Tiltify. Start one shared effort, invite others to join with their own campaigns, and rally your community.
