Welcome to the Thankmas 2020 FAQ section.  Below we be answers to the basic questions for the Thankmas Campaign.


What is Thankmas?

#Thankmas is an annual multi-platform digital fundraising event taking place December 12-20th created by Jacksepticeye and Real Good Touring to help bring some much-needed relief and joy to children and families facing hunger this holiday season. This digital fundraiser will bring together influencers, gamers, streamers, and the public across a range of platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook. All funds raised from #Thankmas are directly donated to Red Nose Day USA, a fundraising campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief US, a registered U.S. 501(c)(3).


What is this important right now?


Around the world, COVID-19 continues to worsen hunger and food insecurity — millions of children don't know where or when they'll get their next meal. 

  • In the US, an estimated 1 in 4 children — that’s around 18 million — are facing food insecurity this year.

  • Globally, the number of people facing acute hunger has roughly doubled this year, meaning there are up to 265 million people experiencing the most severe threats of hunger (famine, malnutrition, starvation).

How can I fundraise on TikTok for Thankmas?

If you choose to fundraise for Thankmas on Tiktok, you DO NOT have to make a campaign here.  Instead you can add the Red Nose Day sticker to your TikTok profile and any TikTok video using the nonprofit sticker option.  You can also use the livestream feature on TikTok using the Red Nose Day sticker.  Your total raised on TikTok will be tracked in your TikTok account and on your videos.  Use the #thankmas and we will be adding those totals to the grand total raised as well. Further Instructions about how TikTok fundraising works can be found HERE     If you wish to create a campaign here you can also put the link to your campaign on your TikTok profile but we find the TikTok sticker is more effective.


Is there a special overlay I can use for my stream?

We have 2 overlays you can use.  The official #Thankmas overlay can be found HERE with instructions.  It also shows the overall #Thankmas total as well as your own.  It ALSO does some fun additional things you will read about in the document :).   You may also use our special #clausmycause holiday overlay HERE.


How are donations being collected and distributed?

All donations go directly to Red Nose Day via Tiltify.


Is my donation tax-deductible? 

Yes, all donations are being collected through the Red Nose Day USA is a fundraising campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief US, a registered U.S. 501(c)(3). You will be provided a tax receipt directly from the payment provider (PayPal or Stripe) following your donation. If you use a PayPal account, you may also find your receipt in your account.
