It’s always nice to have something to work towards, right? That’s what the Fundraising Goal is all about!
Once you begin your event and donations start coming in, your fundraising goal can be adjusted on your campaign dashboard - so if you end up blowing your Original Fundraising Goal out of the water, a marker will be placed on your donation total bar, acting as a reminder of how awesome your fundraiser went! Because of this, it’s always nice to set your Original Fundraising Goal at a reasonable (and reachable number) as it can act as encouragement for donations to come in - rather than a deterrent of potential donations to your cause.
You can increase and decrease your goal before publishing, but once you publish you can only increase your goal.
